SUCCESS AND FAILURE IN CLASS PERSPECTIVE

Success and failure – so many succeed only to fail, while failure often turns into success, at least for a time.  But between the extremes of persistent success (stardom?) and persistent failure (dereliction?) there exists a grey zone of people who are neither particularly successful nor consistently failures, just kind of subject to minor or moderate successes and failures that seems to typify the middle-ground and, in all probability, a middle-class situation in between upper-class ‘successes’ and lower-class ‘failures’, most of whom would traditionally have been identified with ‘the meek’.
